Saturday, April 9, 2016
St. Anthony Maronite Church

Springfield, MA 01118

Pope Francis wrote in Misericordiae Vultus that “the mercy of God is not an abstract idea, but a concrete reality with which he reveals his love as that of a father or a mother, moved to the very depths out of love for their child (MV, n. 6).”

God’s mercy never runs dry because it always finds people who give concrete testimony to it in everyday life.

This year’s Deacons’ Retreat will focus on the Ministry of Deacon as a servant and crafter of Divine Mercy in a world grown dull by indifference.

Retreat Facilitator: Fr. Warren J. Savage, Catholic Chaplain, Albert and Amelia Ferst Interfaith Center, Westfield State University; Lecturer, Religious Studies Department, the Elms College, Chicopee, MA; Instructor for the Diocesan Permanent Diaconate Formation Program; Member of Spiritual Directors International, Academy of Homiletics, and The Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality.
